When I was a high school sophomore, and my tenor/bass show choir was suddenly in need of an interim music director, the role fell to me (seeing as only a handful of us could play piano).  However, since we had no budget, it also fell on me to arrange the music.  I dove in head first, and quickly began writing for other choirs at my high school, and then at high schools we competed against.

      Now, more than ten years later, I've written for dozens of ensembles around the country, including show choirs, contemporary a cappella groups, combo bands, and chamber ensembles.  My arrangements have received a number of awards, and have been performed at such venues as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 54 Below in New York, and (as of May 2026), the Lincoln Center.
